About Two Truths
At Two Truths, we believe that conflict holds the potential for growth—both in our relationships and in how we get the job done—but for that to happen, we need the right mindset and tools. The name "Two Truths" reflects the reality of conflict: each party believes their truth is correct. As a result, we get stuck in our rightness, watching our relationships deteriorate as emotions run high and people shut down. Conflict can quickly destabilize both personal relationships and work environments.
There will be no end to conflict. But there are real and impactful ways to change how we show up to it. Our mission is to provide practical skills that help individuals and organizations get comfortable with the uncomfortable. How do we reach for curiosity over judgment when we believe we are right? How can we disagree yet still be prepared to listen? How can we acknowledge our anger and hurt while still providing empathy for the feelings of others involved? These are no small tasks, but there are tangible and impactful skills each of us can adopt to rise to this challenge. When we do, we gain the confidence to have tough conversations, connect deeply with each other in ways we didn’t think possible, and achieve innovative breakthroughs—even amidst the toughest circumstances.

Our Approach
Two Truths challenges traditional conflict training. Most training starts with, “How do I have this conversation?” We start with, “Why is this a conflict for me?” Our foundation is introspection. Our dynamic training and personalized coaching—whether one-on-one or in team settings—help clients uncover their role in conflict, break down barriers, and shift limiting mindsets. We emphasize the importance of self-accountability, encouraging individuals to examine their own thoughts, emotions, and behaviors before engaging in difficult conversations. After all, understanding ourselves is the first step toward understanding others. Once we know where we stand in the conflict, we can then bring in the other parties and work on effective communication techniques.
Whether you’re an individual seeking personal growth or an organization aiming to foster a healthier workplace culture, Two Truths offers tailored solutions that deliver lasting impact. Let us help you and your business transform from the inside out.
Our Team
What sets Two Truths apart is not just our approach to conflict but the philosophy behind our work. This company was founded by two partners who are following their truths to create meaningful change. We believe in and practice the skills we teach, using them in our own journeys to become the best versions of ourselves. In fact, we started Two Truths because these skills were life-changing for both of us, and we want to share our experience so that others can have similar results. This commitment to self-growth and authenticity is at the heart of everything we do. We sincerely hope that by partnering with us, you live a life with more joy.

Aimee Merchant
Aimee Merchant embarked on her civil service career over 14 years ago, after a rich and varied stint in the private sector. Her journey has taken her through the worlds of strategic communications, leadership development, and coaching. For the past decade, Aimee has zeroed in on what she truly loves: helping people communicate through conflict. As the lead curriculum developer and instructor for conflict training for the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense, she’s seen firsthand how healthy communication can transform even the toughest situations.
An ICF-certified coach and certified conflict mediator, Aimee is passionate about fostering growth, understanding, and—let’s be honest—keeping it real in even the most challenging conversations. As a proud recovering conflict avoider (yes, she’s been there), Aimee brings a personal touch to her work, using the same strategies she’s tested on herself. This hands-on experience fueled her drive to co-found Two Truths Solutions LLC, a company dedicated to helping others navigate their own truths with authenticity and compassion. At the heart of Two Truths is Aimee’s mission: to make difficult conversations not only possible but empowering.
